This project was for our Gr8 team 8th grade end-of-the-year memory book. I created a possible cover for the students to choose from. To make this, I used notebook paper and pencil for the first draft, and iPad for the final draft. To start, I found the WSR Go-Hawk logo online and drew it out on paper to know where on the cover I wanted it. After that, I drew the letters WSR as bubble letters and came up with the phrase I wanted on it. I decided that I wanted a yellow background when I remade it, and I wanted the hawk to be in-between the title and the phrase. After that, I went into SketchBookX and recreated how I wanted it. I tried several lights to put it in, including black and white (mono), a darker-looking light, and nothing. Finally, I printed it in black and white for my teacher to use. I enjoyed drawing the hawk, and it has made me consider drawing more complicated silhouettes.
I I would add anything, I would add shading to the letters and chatter to the final. I don't know how to add shading to the letter, unfortunately. Making this reminded me that school is almost out, and I celebrated in my mind. I could have improved this by putting more on the page, but I like how it looks because it seems stable and strong to me.
I considered this as a drawing challenge for the first draft.
Point of project: 10,000
Current points: 44,000
Final points: 54,000
